The Lady Knights’ golf team has had a very impressive season so far, finishing the regular season in 2nd place just behind Clayton.   Coach Dan Olin has nothing but positive things to say about the Lady Knights, “I’m very proud of what the girls have done (so far).”

Olin had heard about the talent of his top-seeded senior Dana Watkins, but was even more impressed when watching her play, “If she is healthy and on her game, she can possibly be the top player in the state.”  Teammate and second-seeded player Nicole Westley also complimented Watkins, saying, “she has a future if she wants to play further.”
Other members of the team are Megan Giunco, who will accompany Watkins and Westley at Regionals, Tyler Williams, and Morgan Johnson, who Olin claims “is showing great potential.”
The next event for the Lady Knights’ is Regionals, held at Chapel Ridge Golf Course in Chapel Hill on Tuesday, October 20.  Coach Olin is very confident that his Lady Knights will put up a great effort.
