Chris Cunningham, junior at Knightdale High School, has been seen in many theatre productions such as the award winning musical Godspell, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and as the Tin Man in last year’s spring musical, The Wizard of Oz.

This year Cunningham is going to appear in Language of Angels for the North Carolina Theatre Conference, a high school competition of one act plays. The drama is centered around the disappearance of a girl, Celie, and how it affects a group of friends.  Seth, Cunningham’s character, loses the love of his life when Celie disappears, and struggles to get over it as the years pass. “It’s very deep, there is a lot of symbolism, and a lot of layers,” says Cunningham, “Every time I read it, there’s another layer. I love it.”
