King and Queen, Prince and Princess, Duke and Duchess, The Knight and The Lady were crowned to their throne of royalty at Knightdale.  Four couples from each class were nominated for the homecoming court.  When they were crowned the Knightdale Fans were ecstatic.

Anthony Pope and Diamond Rush were summoned to be the King and Queen of Knightdale.  King Anthony Pope was overjoyed by the results.  “I didn’t think I was going to win, I couldn’t stop smiling, my cheek bones were sore!” he giggled.  “Winning this makes me feel like the most popular guy in school.  I just want to thank everyone that voted for me.”  On the right of the king was his queen, Diamond Rush.  Queen Diamond was thrilled with winning the homecoming court for the second year in a row.  “I’m so happy, I feel really accomplished, and I’m glad people see something great in me.”

Chelsea Sumner and Ahmad Abdullah

Next in the line of royalty are Ahmad Abdullah and Chelsea Sumner, who were crowned Prince and Princess of the kingdom of Knightdale.  Princess Chelsea, last year’s winner, was pleased to be nominated again by her fellow peers.  “I was excited; it was a great honor to be chosen.  I just wanted to thank those who voted for me, because it lets me know that I am a positive influence on my peers.”  Linked beside the Princess was Prince Ahmad Abdullah.  “I was like, WOW!  This means a lot to me.  My family and friends were there supporting me and it was a great night.”  Ahmad was stunned that he won because he was going against the two year champion, Randy Person.

being Dutch and Duchess.  Bryan Sumner felt good about winning for the second year.  “I didn’t think I would win because of the others that were nominated were couples, and it seemed more ideal.” Duchess Oliwia Pawelczak felt the same way as Bryan, “I was surprised; I was going against big competition.”

Last but not least are the knight and his lady, Dylan Alexander and Ariel Harris.  Dylan, the knight, felt good about winning and he says, “It makes me feel really popular.”  Ariel Harris was very humble about her win.  “I felt good, I really didn’t think I would win but I’m glad I did.  Now it seems everyone knows me as having a great personality, and I like that.”
