“Leap Year” is a romantic comedy starring Amy Adams and Matthew Goode. It is set in Ireland, as Anna (Amy Adams) tries to take advantage of an old Irish tradition that allows women to propose to men on the day of Leap Year. When her journey is almost ruined by the weather, she is forced to cross Ireland with a man named Declan (Matthew Goode), who is the owner of a small inn and taxi company. Together the two must overcome hilarious road blocks so that Anna can make it to her husband-to-be, Jeremy (Adam Scott). But, as Anna and Declan travel through Ireland together, she discovers a life that she has been missing out on, and in the end must make a decision that will change her life forever.

Critics complained  that the movie was too foreseeable. Claudia Puig of USA Today wrote that the movie was, “…Predictable from the first frame to the ultra-corny ending.” Although it is cliché, I feel that it is still a clever movie with witty dialogue, that keeps the viewers captivated from beginning to end.

Overall, “Leap Year” was a good movie with moments that will make you laugh, and moments that will make you “Awww,” and I would recommend this movie to anyone in the mood for a good love story.
